This self-guided cycling route is our recommended way to explore Munich by bike. Simply open the Google Maps link we provide and follow the route on your phone. The map already includes several famous landmarks, parks and viewpoints so you can easily navigate through the city at your own pace.
The tour combines historic sights, green parks and traditional beer gardens, giving you a great overview of Munich without needing a guide.

English Garden – one of the largest urban parks in the world, perfect for relaxed cycling paths through nature
Eisbach Wave – a famous river surfing spot located at the entrance of the English Garden

Luitpoldpark – a quiet green park with sculptures and open views of the city
Olympic Park & Olympiaalm – the park built for the 1972 Olympic Games with great viewpoints

Hirschgarten – Munich’s largest beer garden with a deer enclosure
Hofgarten – a historic garden next to the Munich Residenz
Königsplatz – a large neoclassical square surrounded by impressive museums and architecture
